Washington State Providers and Client-Facing Staff
Through November 2021, any provider or client-facing staff* in Washington State can enroll in and take the 3- or 6-hour All Patients Safe course free of charge, thanks to the Harborview Behavioral Health Institute and funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in partnership with the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA), in response to the increased risk of suicide due to COVID-19.
Everyone (3-hour course):
Understand your role in suicide prevention
Effective educate patients and clients on how to make their homes safer
Integrate suicide prevention approaches into your personal and professional life
Medical Professionals (6-hour course):
Content from 3-hour course plus:
Integrate screening, safety, and assessment tools into your practice
Advocate for protocol and practice changes to improve suicide prevention care
*Limited to the first 6000 participants.
To access the course for free, you must confirm during registration that you work with patients or clients in the state of Washington.
